This role demands deep knowledge of ECU architecture, vehicle diagnostics, and warranty analytics, while partnering with customer quality teams and internal engineering to drive continuous improvement, reduce ECU failures, and lower warranty costs. **Key Objectives of this Role:*** Conduct thorough visual inspection, system\-level testing, and teardown analysis of warranty returns. * Conduct detailed root cause analysis of returned parts using diagnostic tools, bench testing, and simulation environments. * Apply domain knowledge in vehicle subsystems to isolate the root cause under time\-critical conditions. * Derive system\-level validation frameworks to drive timely and accurate resolution. * Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to validate findings. * Contribute with functional teams to evolve structured problem\-solving methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FTA) * Warranty returns management through Jira, document analysis evidence and transitions in timely manner. * Identify trends and recurring issues to support design and process improvements. * Support WEC Leader in standardizing investigation processes and best practices. * Support CQEs by detailing findings and collaborating cross\-functionally for corrective action. * Identify the opportunities to deploy AI technologies to automate the analytics and reports. **Key Performance Indicators:*** Accuracy: Percentage of correct root causes identified vs. actual failure after customer impact. * Cycle Time: Average lead time per triage, teardown, and analysis stage. * Test Outcome Quality: Rate of protocols passed/failed vs. validated teardown findings. * Effective Collaboration: Timeliness of handovers to CQE/Engineering. * NTF rate: NTF rate to be minimized **Key Year One Deliverables:*** Identify and report on 3\+ recurring failure trends with proposed improvement actions. * Achieve \>90% on\-time delivery of investigation reports. * Support implementation of at least 2 process improvements within WEC. * Improve the warranty claims handling customer satisfaction experience **Qualification, Experience and Skills:*** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field. * 3–5 years of experience in automotive electronics or quality engineering. * Knowledge in Hardware testing diagnostic tools, Vehicle network, and failure mode investigation. * Familiarity with structured problem\-solving (e.g., 8D, DFMEA, 5 Whys) * Knowledge of systems\-level concepts of vehicle architectures and ECU interactions * Good written/oral English communication for cross\-team interface. * Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. **Key Behaviors:*** Result Orientation * Critical Thinking * Resilience * Customer Obsession * Competitive drive * Ownership \& Accountability **Reporting Structure:** This role will report to WEC Leader / WEC Supervisor. **Visteon Culture:** If you thrive in a fast\-paced, organizational culture that requires agility, adaptability, and a growth mindset from its employees to thrive and stay ahead of the curve Visteon is the place.
