Responsibilities: **JOB PURPOSE:** This position is part of the Maintenance Department and its purpose is to guarantee and support the timely and efficient execution of maintenance activities on facilities and machinery within the plant, performing preventive and corrective maintenance inspections, applying established safety protocols according to corresponding policies and procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any deviations within their duties or activities to their immediate supervisor. **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Responsible for ensuring their physical well-being and performing work activities safely, every time, all the time. * Responsible for timely start-up of operational services (dust collectors, lighting, furnace preheating) before operations begin. * Responsible for receiving “Work Orders” for any type of maintenance: corrective, preventive, or creation of safety devices. * Responsible for assisting and supporting team members in maintenance activities, as well as verifying the release of assigned “Work Orders”. * Responsible for notifying the Group Leader or Production Supervisor upon completion of corrective maintenance. * Responsible for *quoting* machine spare parts and coordinating with external suppliers as directed by the supervisor or direct manager. * Responsible for requesting necessary spare parts from the supervisor or direct manager. * Responsible for collecting, verifying, and delivering to their supervisor or direct manager the “Work Orders” properly registered. * Responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance tasks, complying with safety procedures (lockout/tagout) before intervening on any machinery, identifying potential machine failures (mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic), and executing the corresponding repair. * Responsible for notifying the Maintenance and Production Supervisor upon completion of assigned preventive maintenance activities. * Responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness in areas where maintenance is performed, both corrective and preventive. * Responsible for implementing and applying the 6S program in the spare parts workshop and maintenance work areas. * Responsible for carrying out machinery movement and installation activities, complying with safety procedures, requesting required permits for such activities, and notifying the Maintenance and Production Supervisor upon completion of assigned preventive maintenance tasks. * Provides support to other Maintenance department activities as directly instructed by their Supervisor or Group Leader when situations require it.
