




Job Summary: The Tandem Backend Developer will design, build, and maintain integrations to expose existing business logic on the NonStop/Tandem platform, modernize legacy modules, and ensure their availability and scalability. Participation in Tandem-compatible CI/CD processes Banking company located in CDMX Purpose The Tandem Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining integrations that expose existing business logic on the NonStop/Tandem platform via SOAP \| REST web services as applicable. This includes modernizing legacy modules written in COBOL, C, and Java, ensuring their availability, scalability, and security for internal or external consumption. Education / Experience: * Engineering, Systems Bachelor’s degree, or related field. * Solid knowledge of application architecture. * Minimum 3 years of experience developing desktop and/or web applications, with proficiency in multiple programming languages. * Advanced knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Sybase. * Knowledge of security model implementation. * Strong command of programming logic. * **English: B2 Conversational** Job Requirements * **5\+ years of experience with the Tandem system (Guardian, OSS, Pathway, Webgate)** * JDK 11\+ knowledge * Programming languages: **C\* or** Cobol\* or **Java SE** or **TAL** or **GUARDIAN** * **Serverclass/batch component debugging skills on Tandem.** * SQLMP / SQLMX knowledge. * SOAP/XML, REST/JSON knowledge. Responsibilities * Analyze existing Tandem (COBOL, C, or Java) processes, programs, and routines to assess their suitability for exposure as web services. * Design and develop SOAP and/or REST services using available Tandem frameworks (Pathway, Webgate, etc.). * Develop unit, functional, and regression tests for exposed components. Validate performance and ensure services meet established SLAs. * Participate in Tandem-compatible CI/CD processes (Guardian scripts, TACL, configuration of specific pipelines, etc.). * Document architecture, integration diagrams, and service contracts (WSDL, XSD, Swagger/OpenAPI). * Document end-to-end details for all exposed web services (database vs. data structures). * Maintain an up-to-date inventory of services, versions, and dependencies. * Adhere to architectural, security, and corporate standards. * Participate in production incidents related to developed services/programs. * Promote a collaborative work environment. * Complete mandatory training courses at 100%, on time and as required.
