Ensures product quality and freshness. ***General Responsibilities*** * Responsible for assisting the warehouse clerk in arranging merchandise, labeling, and verifying that everything is properly placed and that packaging is in appropriate condition. * Must assist the warehouse clerk in receiving merchandise and verifying it upon arrival at the establishment, checking weight, physical condition, and temperatures. * Apply receiving labels and ensure storage follows the FIFO system (new stock placed behind, older stock placed in front). ***Daily Responsibilities*** * Initial walkthrough to ensure aisles are clear and clean. * Verify and record refrigeration and freezer chamber temperatures to ensure cold chain integrity prior to receiving merchandise. * Assist the warehouse clerk in unloading suppliers, verifying quantities against invoices or delivery notes. * Inspect physical condition of packaging (no tears or dents) and verify the **weight** of bulk or meat products. * Take and record temperatures of perishable products upon receipt. * Apply labels indicating date of arrival and, if necessary, clearly visible expiration dates. * Move merchandise to its designated location (dry, refrigerated, or frozen). * Rearrange shelves by moving older stock to the front and placing new stock at the back. * Ensure all packaging remains intact and no product comes into direct contact with the floor. * Assist in delivering supplies to kitchen or bar areas according to withdrawal slips. * Keep shelves clean and free of unnecessary cardboard or damaged packaging. * Report to the warehouse clerk any products nearing expiration or packaging that has lost integrity. ***Periodic Responsibilities*** * Conduct initial walkthrough to ensure aisles are clear and clean. * Verify and record refrigeration and freezer chamber temperatures. * Assist in delivering supplies to kitchen or bar areas according to corresponding withdrawal slips. * Keep shelves clean and remove unnecessary cardboard or packaging. * Assist in unloading suppliers and verify quantities against invoices. * Inspect physical condition of packaging (dents or tears) and weigh bulk products. * Take and record temperatures of perishable products upon receipt. * Apply labels with arrival date and expiration date clearly visible. * These practices ensure efficient inventory management and prevent product spoilage. * Move merchandise to its correct location (dry, refrigerated, or frozen) immediately after receipt. * Rearrange shelves by moving older stock to the front and newer stock to the back. * Ensure no product touches the floor and all packaging remains intact. * Report to the warehouse clerk any products nearing expiration or damaged packaging. ***Occasional Responsibilities*** * Count each item piece-by-piece on shelves and in chambers. * Help identify discrepancies (shortages or overages). * Organize the warehouse in advance to facilitate faster counting. * Completely empty refrigeration chambers for wall and floor cleaning. * Thoroughly clean grilles and fans of cooling units. * Disinfect dry storage shelves to prevent pests. * Segregate non-conforming merchandise into a "Non-Conforming" area to prevent use in the kitchen. * Prepare products for return to the supplier during their next visit. * Relocate shelves or change product family locations to optimize workflow. * Set up temporary areas to receive extraordinary orders. * Accompany the warehouse clerk or driver to make local purchases at markets or supermarkets to immediately replenish shortages. **Experience**: Minimum 2 years in this position **Schedule: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM**, Monday to Friday, including meal breaks (NO WEEKEND WORK) * Complimentary uniforms * Benefits exceeding statutory requirements Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $11,000.00 - $12,000.00 per month Benefits: * Complimentary uniforms Work Location: On-site employment
