Position Summary: We are seeking a civil engineer or architect with experience in developing item catalogs, quantity take-offs, and construction budgets, and proficiency in specialized software for executive projects and public tenders. Key Highlights: 1. Experience in developing item catalogs and construction budgets. 2. Proficiency in specialized software such as Neodata or Opus, and advanced Excel. 3. Analysis of unit prices and standardization of items for public tenders. Education: Civil Engineer, Architect, or Engineer-Architect. Experience: 3 years of experience developing item catalogs, quantity take-offs, and construction budgets for executive projects. Catalog Structuring: Logically and auditably establishing the structure of line items (Preliminaries, Foundations, Structure, Hospital Finishes, Special Installations, etc.). Technical Writing: Drafting detailed descriptions of work items covering materials, labor, tools, equipment, hauling, and cleanup—avoiding ambiguities in bidding processes. Quantity Take-off: Generating accurate quantity take-offs from architectural and specialty drawings (Plumbing, Electrical, Medical Gases, HVAC). Unit Price Analysis (U.P.): Developing unit price cards based on actual productivity rates, market costs of specialized inputs, and prevailing wages in Mexico. Item Standardization: Ensuring alignment of the catalog with technical specifications issued by institutions such as IMSS, ISSSTE, or the Ministry of Health (SS) for public tenders. Omission Detection: Identifying missing elements in the executive project that could lead to extraordinary costs during construction execution. Specialized Software (Mandatory): Advanced proficiency in Neodata or Opus (specify which one your company uses). Expert-level Excel skills (pivot tables and complex formulas). Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit is desirable (quantity extraction from BIM models).
