




Position Summary: We are seeking a General Accounting professional with experience in leadership, NIF, Mexican tax legislation, and ERP systems to lead the full accounting cycle and ensure tax compliance in a financial or fintech environment. Key Highlights: 1. Experience in accounting leadership and coordination within the financial or fintech sector. 2. Expert-level proficiency in NIF and Mexican tax legislation. 3. End-to-end management of the accounting cycle and preparation of financial statements. Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role, preferably within the financial, fintech, or high-volume transactional sectors. • Financial Reporting Standards (NIF): Expert-level proficiency in applying and presenting financial statements in accordance with NIF (or IFRS/US GAAP, if applicable), essential for executive reporting. • Mexican Tax Legislation: Advanced and up-to-date knowledge of the Income Tax Law (Ley del ISR), Value Added Tax (IVA), and the Federal Tax Code (Código Fiscal de la Federación). Critical for accurate tax determination and compliance in fintech transactions. • ERP Systems (Accounting): Advanced experience in administering and operating the Accounting module of a robust ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for Chart of Accounts and journal entry management. • Preparation of Financial Statements: Proven ability to prepare, analyze, and validate the four primary financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Statement of Changes in Equity). • Complex Accounting Analysis and Reconciliation: Ability to reconcile highly complex general ledger accounts (e.g., provisions, interbank accounts, commission income) originating from high-volume transactional systems. • Accounting Audits: Experience preparing and managing information requested by external auditors, ensuring traceability and appropriate documentary support for each journal entry. Preparation of Financial Statements: Prepare and analyze key financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) under NIF, explaining variances to management. Tax Compliance: Coordinate tax determination, calculation, and preparation of files for submission of federal and local tax returns, working in coordination with the Compliance Officer. Internal and External Audits: Serve as the primary point of contact during audits, ensuring all accounting records and processes are transparent and properly supported. Reconciliations and Adjustments: Oversee general ledger reconciliations and execute necessary adjusting entries (e.g., provisions, amortizations, depreciation). Standardization: Develop and maintain the Chart of Accounts and accounting policies, ensuring uniform recording of complex fintech transactions (e.g., commissions, SPEI).
