Resolve non-conformities using root cause analysis tools Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a SQE \- Supplier Quality Engineer. **What you’ll do:** ------------------- **PRIMARY FUNCTION:** The primary function for this role is to provide support and leadership on supplier quality, ensure external materials and services meet the organization's quality standards through supplier evaluation, auditing, and development. Key activities include managing the supplier PPAP process (part approval), conducting supplier process audits, resolving non\-conformities through root cause analysis (Problem Solving, 8D, 5Why), and monitoring supplier performance (PPM, deliveries) to ensure continuous improvement. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** 1\. Coordinate the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process. Approve PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) packages for NPI or CNs or components/ PROLaunch Activity Matrix. 2\. Participate with Supply Chain in supplier assessments and supplier development plans as appropriate. 3\. Perform Supplier Site Assessments as required. Approve the qualification of new suppliers and current suppliers for products. 4\. Participate with Supply Chain/Purchasing/ PROLaunch in supplier PPAP Level Request. 5\. Receive and review supplier documentation for PPAP approval. 6\. SQE will generate QN/SCAR/DMR for supplier notification in the system and notify purchasing, production, and quality so that containment actions are initiated. 7\. If raw material is rejected, work with Incoming Engineer to follow non\-conforming procedure to segregate suspect product. 8\. Request RMA and material disposition. 9\. Maintain constant communication with corporate supplier quality located in Pune, India to follow\-up on supplier corrective actions, as appropriate. 10\. Ensure timely follow\-up on supplier corrective action response. 11\. Keep track of all supplier quality issues for purchased parts used in assembly areas. Track supplier performance KPIs such as PPMs, DMR aging. 12\. Keep related procedures up to date, along with work instructions to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, internal quality policies, and relevant engineering standards. **Qualifications:** ------------------- **SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:** * Bachelor’s in Engineering degree. * Internal ISO 9001:2015 auditor. * Ability to communicate in English, spoken and written (advanced level) is indispensable. * Demonstrated experience of a minimum of 3 years in similar position, where there has been exposure to supplier quality, quality control, PPAP approval, incoming inspection. * Metrology experience is a plus. * Knowledge on ISO 17025 standard. * Lean tools knowledge. * Strong skills for solving problems tools (8D, Pareto, 5 Why’s, etc.) * Core tools certified: APQP, SPC, MSA, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plan. * Strong computer applications skills (specially datasheets and spreadsheets) such as: AS400, Excel, Power Point, Minitab, Word, PowerBI (desirable). * Ability to write reports and effectively communicate at all levels (both in Spanish and English). * Ability to supervise and manage personnel. \#LI\-CR1 We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
