This contractor will serve as a primary point of contact for billing\-related matters, while also assisting in the coordination and oversight of billing processes. The remote Billing Supervisor should have a strong medical billing experience, patient account management, and electronic health record (EHR) systems, along with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and internal staff in English. This role requires strong organizational skills, leadership ability, and experience delegating tasks within a billing or revenue cycle team. **Key Responsibilities** Patient Billing \& Account Management * Respond to patient billing inquiries and provide clear explanations regarding account balances, itemized statements, and billing details. * Review and manage patient accounts, ensuring accuracy of charges, payments, and adjustments. * Assist patients with understanding insurance billing, outstanding balances, and payment options. * Generate and distribute itemized billing statements when requested. Revenue Cycle \& Billing Support * Manage billing workflows within the organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. * Review billing records to ensure proper documentation and accuracy. * Coordinate with internal teams regarding billing corrections, claim follow\-ups, and account resolutions. * Assist with maintaining compliance with standard healthcare billing procedures. Leadership \& Coordination * Provide leadership support to the billing team, helping coordinate daily billing tasks. * Delegate responsibilities and assist in organizing workflow among billing staff. * Monitor billing activity to ensure timely completion of tasks and proper account follow\-up. * Communicate billing updates and issues to management. Customer Service * Deliver professional and courteous communication with patients and staff. * Address billing concerns with empathy and professionalism. * Maintain high standards of patient service and confidentiality. Required Qualifications * Advanced English proficiency (80–85% or higher) – strong verbal and written communication. * Minimum 3\+ years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management. * Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. * Experience handling patient billing inquiries and account management. * Prior leadership or supervisory experience in billing or administrative teams. * Strong organizational and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to delegate work and coordinate tasks among team members. * Ability to work remotely with a U.S.\-based organization and maintain consistent communication. Preferred Qualifications * Experience working with U.S. healthcare billing systems or insurance processes. * Familiarity with medical billing terminology and patient financial services. * Prior experience in behavioral health or outpatient healthcare settings. * Experience supporting multi\-location medical practices.
