Start your journey with us today. **Title:** ENG.01\.M20\-Team Leader **Location:**Merida, MX **Job Closing Date:** 12\-Dec\-2025 Overview of Role The Mexico Engineering Manager is responsible for developing the Mexico region in line with business needs and ensuring technical competence for the execution of studies, tenders and projects within their technical area of responsibility. All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices. The Mexico Engineering Manager will be responsible to manage the Mexico Engineers through a defined RACI Matrix with close collaborating with the Houston Engineering Discipline Managers, contributing to the success of their short\-term project objectives as well as the long\-term needs of the business. They will contribute to the development of the Engineering team’s technical expertise and skills to ensure we meet Subsea7's commercial and project execution strategies.**What will you be doing?** * Foster and maintain strong Subsea 7 values and culture in the Merida Office. * Focus on strengthening collaboration within each discipline and across disciplines/functions within the GoM Region. * Establish and maintain a positive and proactive work environment within the engineering function that encourages teamwork, a spirit of openness, honesty, and integrity. * Contribute to the Merida recruiting strategy, aligning with our goal of attracting, retaining, and motivating a skilled workforce. * Ensure compliance with standardized engineering policies, processes, and systems such that engineering across the Disciplines is effective and quality driven. * Ensure all design and detailing within the Discipline is in accordance with acknowledged industry Codes, Standards and Design Guides, Client Specifications and Scopes of Work. * Support and/or develop specific processes or procedures for Engineer, as required. * Support Discipline Managers in planning Merida Engineering resources and monitoring progress and efficiency. * Identify opportunities to improve the organization, tools, processes, and/or people. * Build relationships with non\-engineering disciplines within the Mexico Office (SCM, Planning, etc.). * Frequently collaborate with the Director of Mexico on status of Engineer and support required. * Support the Engineers Competence Development Scheme (ECDS) \& Graduate Engineer Development Scheme (GEDS). * Actively engage in Knowledge Management to enable cross discipline communication and sharing of knowledge, best practice, and competences. * Align performance objectives of the team with the discipline managers and monitor the performance of the team’s progress on said objectives. * Promote personal CPD (continuing professional development) through regular engagement with the professional engineering community. * Contribute and plan the training, development, and mentorship of Engineering resources. **What experience would we like you to have?** * Ability to mentor and coach engineers and support their professional development. * Ability to lead a multi\-discipline engineering team across multiple projects. * Sound communication skills, oral, written, and electronic. * Ability to prioritize own and others’ workload, manage time and change control accordingly and direct team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of program or budget. * Ability to manage interfaces with all other non\-engineering disciplines such as document control, project management, clients, and suppliers. * Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints. * Commitment to Continuing Professional Development. * Business Impact \- Establishes operational plans (short\-term\~1year) with direct contribution towards the achievement of results of the department / sub\-function as a manager. KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE * Relevant degree or equivalent. * Accreditation from a professional body is desirable, but not essential. * Relevant previous experience, preferably in the SURF business, at an appropriate level including Lead/Principal and above. * Proven record of collaborative leadership within the organization.
