





**General Objective:** Implement continuous actions for surveillance and comprehensive protection of individuals in all areas of the Hospital, ensuring safety for patients, visitors, staff, as well as movable and immovable assets of the hospital facility. This includes timely identification of potential risk situations, implementation of preventive and corrective measures, and immediate response to incidents to ensure a safe and reliable environment. All of this must be carried out with a focus on service excellence, ensuring high quality standards and commitment to the well-being of the hospital community. **Job Responsibilities:** * Conduct a formal shift handover to the incoming colleague, ensuring effective verbal communication of pending tasks, received orders, observations made during the shift, and any incidents that occurred in the area. * Ensure comprehensive safety for staff, patients, visitors, and the general public by implementing preventive and corrective measures within the facilities. * Thoroughly inspect the assigned area at the beginning of the shift, verifying the condition of physical facilities, patient belongings under custody, communication equipment (radios), logbooks, required forms for the shift, and pending issues from the previous shift. * Perform periodic patrols in all areas of responsibility as directed by the supervisor or coordinator to detect and correct potential risks or anomalies in real time. * Immediately report to the safety, occupational health, and environmental supervisor, or in their absence to Human Capital or the shift supervisor, any activity that disrupts order in the hospital, threatens assets, or endangers the integrity of patients, visitors, or staff. Additionally, report any anomaly in hospital operations at any time of day. * Record all incidents occurring during the shift, as well as those observed during patrols, in detail in the logbook, ensuring a clear and accurate record for follow-up. * Provide appropriate guidance and information to visitors, patient families, suppliers, and anyone requesting it, ensuring courteous and respectful treatment. * Control and manage the entry and exit of people to the hospital facilities, as well as verify the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment, following established procedures to protect hospital assets. * Provide custody and protection to the cashier during the process of transferring revenues to the safe, ensuring security at all times. * Actively participate in designated actions when a pink code (infant/child theft or abduction risk) is activated, implementing access closures and collaborating with necessary measures to protect the child. * Control and document the process related to deaths, including the arrival of funeral services to remove the body, ensuring proper verification and documentation of the authorization for its release. * Accompany and guard newborns during their transfer from the operating room area to the crib unit, ensuring their safety at all times. * Respond quickly and effectively when a purple code (aggressive individuals) is activated, acting according to established protocols to ensure the safety of everyone present. * Know and correctly apply hospital procedures and policies, always acting in accordance with current regulations. * Attend and actively participate in training courses determined by the hospital as necessary for proper performance of duties, staying updated on best security practices. * Participate diligently in drills, emergency codes, Civil Protection Internal Unit brigades, and any scheduled simulation exercises to ensure coordinated and efficient response in risky situations. * Collaborate in trainings related to patient safety, contributing to strengthen a culture of protection and care within the hospital. * Carry out any additional functions inherent to their area of competence, always focusing on the safety and well-being of the hospital community. **Education:** Completed secondary school | Completed high school **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of experience Industrial Safety, Property Security, **Schedule:** **Travel Required:** **We Offer:** **Hospital:** **MediMAC Merida** CONTACT **Email:** jorge.gutierrez@hospitalesmac.com **Phone:** Apply
