Summary: This role involves interacting with various engineering groups, customers, and partners to execute Siemens Energy projects, performing engineering calculations and developing P&IDs. Highlights: 1. Develop process engineering designs for combined cycle power plants 2. Serve as main interface with internal teams and external vendors 3. Lead proposal efforts for sales opportunities **A Snapshot of Your Day** In this role, you’ll interact with a wide range of interfaces including other engineering groups, external customers, partners, sales, bid management, and supplies to ensure the successful execution of various Simens Energy projects. Day to day tasks include performing engineering calculations to size various types of equipment (heat exchangers, valves, pumps, etc.), developing P\&IDs, and working with the above\-mentioned parties to resolve challenges. **How You’ll Make an Impact** * Process Engineering \& Design: Develop process engineering designs for combined cycle power plants, including creating engineering flow schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P\&IDs), and mechanical equipment data sheets. Review customer specifications and provide process solutions that meet end\-user requirements, identifying exceptions where necessary, and recommending acceptable solutions in accordance with technical standards defined by Product Managers and Project Execution experts. * Vendor \& Stakeholder Interface: Serve as the main interface with internal teams and external vendors to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle, supporting reference design development, maintenance activities, and plant commissioning. * Proposal Leadership \& Sales Support: Lead proposal efforts for sales opportunities from bid approval through project turnover, including developing technical concepts, performing cost calculations, creating clear and concise technical proposals, and ensuring alignment with the Sales strategy and overall business objectives. * Process \& Tools Improvement: Maintain and enhance tools, templates, and documentation used in process design and proposal development (e.g., MS Excel calculation tools, MS Word templates). Ensure established business processes are followed and identify opportunities for process improvement to drive efficiency and consistency. * Financial \& Customer Performance: Seek to improve the financial performance of proposal efforts while maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction and project team engagement. * Business Improvement \& Continuous Support: Lead and participate in business improvement projects, supporting ongoing reference design development, maintenance, and plant commissioning activities, while fostering continuous improvement in processes and technical solutions. **What You Bring** * Education \& Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 2–3 years of experience in process engineering and/or power plant operations, including hands\-on experience with steam\-water systems and major components such as boiler feed pumps, bypass valves, and heat exchangers. * Technical Knowledge: Strong familiarity with P\&IDs, heat balance diagrams, and sizing criteria for various components. Experience using flow modeling software such as AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow, or equivalent tools. * Proposal \& Project Management: Proven ability to support, lead, and successfully complete multiple proposals simultaneously, while prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast\-paced, deadline\-driven environment. * Leadership \& Collaboration: Excellent leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and drive results. * Regulatory \& Legal Requirements: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer\-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers. * Adaptability \& Multi\-tasking: Demonstrated ability to balance technical, managerial, and operational responsibilities, ensuring high\-quality outcomes while supporting both ongoing projects and proposal development. **About the Team** We have a diverse team located across the US, Germany, and Mexico.
