Barista and Cashier – Café Job Description A prominent café is seeking a Barista and Cashier to join its team. This position focuses on ensuring the proper operation of the bar, kitchen, and cashier areas, guaranteeing the preparation, presentation, and service of menu items under high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service. We seek individuals passionate about gastronomy and service, with strong communication skills in English and capable of delivering a positive experience to both domestic and international customers. Job Objective To provide professional and personalized service at the bar and cashier, ensuring accurate preparation of beverages and food, as well as efficient, high-quality service in both Spanish and English. Position Details * On-site work mode * Weekly work schedule of 51 hours * Includes a 30-minute lunch break * Rotating weekly rest days * Permanent employment contract * Full-time status starting from the third month * Key Responsibilities * Execute preparation checklists, ingredient lists, and mise en place * Correctly apply the FIFO system for product rotation and storage * Comply with hygiene and food safety standards * Prepare beverages and food according to quality and presentation standards * Perform basic kitchen tasks and operational support * Handle cash register operations, collections, closing procedures, and various payment methods * Serve and advise customers in Spanish and English * Take orders, explain the menu, and make recommendations * Maintain cleanliness and order in bar, kitchen, restrooms, and storage areas * Support special events and production as required * Collaborate with the team to achieve operational and service goals Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy * Intern or graduate * Minimum 2 years of experience in similar bar and cashier roles * Experience in cafés or restaurants is preferred * Conversational English is mandatory * Ability to serve customers and take orders in English * Excellent customer service attitude * Strong verbal communication skills and professional appearance * Flexible availability for work hours * Responsibility and punctuality Competencies * Fluent communication in English and Spanish * Customer service orientation * Organization and attention to detail * Proactivity * Teamwork * Cleanliness and orderliness * Responsibility * Willingness to learn What We Offer * Net monthly salary of $11,100.00 MXN * Punctuality and attendance bonus of $1,500.00 * Additional tips * Statutory benefits * Ongoing training * Excellent work environment * Job stability Opportunity for Professional Growth Salary: $11,100.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
