**Job Description:**
Type B Laboratory Technician
**Job Objective:**
Perform quality control tests on construction materials, ensuring compliance with applicable technical standards and project requirements, guaranteeing reliable and timely results.
**Responsibilities:**
· Conduct basic sampling and testing of construction materials (fresh concrete, aggregates, earthworks, reinforcing steel, etc.).
· Perform tests such as slump, concrete temperature, specimen preparation and curing, field densities, compaction, moisture content, among others.
· Prepare samples for laboratory testing.
· Verify the physical condition and basic functionality of assigned equipment.
· Record results clearly and accurately in established formats.
· Support the compilation of technical reports.
· Comply with applicable standards (NMX, ASTM, SCT, and project specifications).
· Maintain proper order, cleanliness, and safekeeping of equipment and tools.
· Report deviations or anomalies detected during the testing process.
**Requirements:**
· Minimum education: High school diploma, Construction Technician, Laboratory Technician, or related field.
· 3 years of experience in a materials laboratory.
· Basic knowledge of quality control standards for construction materials.
· Availability for fieldwork.
· Basic computer equipment operation skills.
· Physical work capability at construction sites.
· Responsible, organized, and detail-oriented.
· Valid driver's license preferred.
