




Position Summary: The Electromechanical Engineer maintains and optimizes underground mining electric and diesel equipment systems through analysis, diagnosis, and execution of maintenance according to best practices. We invite you to learn more about us, our operations, and our exciting plans for the future. **The purpose of the Electromechanical Engineer is to maintain electric (BEV) and mobile diesel equipment systems in optimal condition through analysis, diagnosis, modeling, and execution of maintenance in accordance with established best practices. The efforts of this position align to optimize preventive and corrective maintenance plans administered via SAP Hana and BPF.****Requirements:*** Education: Technical or Engineering degree in Electromechanics, Electrical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent empirical experience with verifiable expertise. * Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, and/or diesel maintenance of underground mining equipment (Sandvik and Epiroc preferred). * Demonstrable knowledge of electrical, control, and hydraulic systems of underground mining equipment. * Knowledge of medium-voltage systems in mobile equipment (desirable). * Knowledge of electronic modules and control systems of underground mining equipment. * Knowledge of power control and power quality technologies. * Effective communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams. * Valid driver’s license is mandatory. * SAP Hana proficiency (desirable). **Key Responsibilities:*** Inspect, ensure, and maintain components and subcomponents of BEV and electromechanical equipment within manufacturer-specified parameters. * Manage outcomes using statistical tools and software to support favorable maintenance and equipment availability decisions. * Effectively diagnose failures related to electrical systems and correlated with the power supply network of BEVs and charging stations. * Review BEV equipment data logs to identify improvements and predict failures for subsequent scheduled interventions. * In coordination with the General Supervisor and Planning Department, provide support for execution and compliance with the preventive/predictive maintenance plan for mobile equipment. * Implement new fault-detection methodologies as well as improvements to preventive/predictive maintenance. * Participate in continuous improvement programs to help optimize processes and achieve budgeted production targets. * Comply with, and ensure compliance with, internal work regulations, safety, environmental, and applicable management system standards. ***NOTE: Torex Gold Resources and its subsidiaries do not accept resumes from recruitment agencies that are not under an active contract and have not been formally nominated as authorized partners for sourcing.***
