Description
Job Objective:
* Ensure that the company's operations, facilities, and processes in the hydrocarbons sector comply with applicable current regulatory requirements (CRE, ASEA, SENER, PROFECO, SEMARNAT, among others), guaranteeing the correct implementation, updating, and monitoring of regulatory obligations and permits to avoid sanctions and maintain operational legality.
Main Responsibilities:
* Supervise regulatory compliance regarding hydrocarbons, industrial safety, environment, and energy regulations applicable to business lines.
* Coordinate the preparation, updating, and control of permits, licenses, and registrations with regulatory agencies (CRE, ASEA, SENER, PROFECO, etc.).
* Monitor internal and external regulatory audits and address authority requests or inspection visits.
* Advise various operational and administrative departments on the interpretation and application of current regulations.
* Design and maintain regulatory compliance matrices, as well as databases of regulatory obligations and renewal dates.
* Coordinate timely submission of regulatory reports to relevant authorities (monthly, quarterly, or annual reports).
* Develop and review internal procedures and policies ensuring regulatory compliance.
* Prepare and review executive reports on regulatory compliance status and potential regulatory risks.
Position Profile:
* Academic background: Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering.
* Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in roles related to regulatory compliance within the hydrocarbons sector.
* Specific knowledge:
* Regulations issued by CRE, ASEA, SENER, PROFECO, and SEMARNAT.
* Procedures and management of permits for fuel sale, transportation, storage, or distribution.
* Mexican Official Standards (NOMs) applicable to the energy sector.
* Document management and regulatory control.
