**JOB OBJECTIVE**
Responsible for ensuring proper clinical care for patients throughout all treatment phases—from admission to discharge—coordinating activities among treating physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to guarantee safe, high-quality medical care.
**JOB PROFILE**
Medical surgeon and obstetrician (licensed with professional license), conversational English. Experience in oncology patient care or within private healthcare institutions is desirable.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
***Patient Assessment and Monitoring:***
· Assess each patient’s clinical status prior to arrival by reviewing the medical record and reports from the treating physician to anticipate potential events.
· Conduct a general patient assessment during treatment infusion, ensuring it is performed individually and warmly.
Observe and evaluate patient symptoms during their clinical stay, promptly communicating any issues to the treating physician.
***Communication and Coordination:***
· Report any anomalies or incidents to the treating physician in a timely manner.
· Guide patients regarding questions related to their treatment and clarify any uncertainties.
· Transcribe medical instructions according to the effective communication protocol.
· Ensure all medical instructions are carried out, notifying relevant departments—such as the laboratory—to schedule necessary appointments.
Collect signatures from the treating physician for medication prescriptions and authorization of medical notes contributing to the patient’s record.
***Documentation and Informed Consent:***
· Document the patient’s clinical progress in medical notes, maintaining up-to-date records.
· Explain and be responsible for the proper completion of the patient’s informed consent, ensuring comprehension.
Support the preparation of required reports and documentation for the patient’s file.
***Medication Administration and Procedures:***
· Review medical instructions with the nursing supervisor and ensure adherence to established protocols.
· Verify correct medication administration, following the seven principles of safe medication administration.
· Request authorization from the treating physician to modify medical instructions when circumstances require.
