Job Summary: Develop precise fabrication drawings for metal structures in residential and commercial construction, ensuring feasibility and compliance with client requirements. Key Highlights: 1. Advanced AutoCAD experience as a Structural Detailer. 2. Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings. 3. Knowledge of welding standards (AWS) and technical drawing. Description and details of responsibilities Develop precise, detailed fabrication drawings for metal structure projects used in residential and commercial construction (railings, stairs, balconies, handrails, and general metalwork), ensuring dimensional accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with client requirements. * Prepare shop drawings for client presentation and approval. * Develop fabrication drawings in AutoCAD for workshop production. Include in drawings: * Cut lists * Bills of Materials (BOMs) * Detailed component breakdowns for metal parts. * Transfer field measurement data into fabrication drawings. * Interpret architectural and structural drawings. Apply standards and codes such as: * AWS (welding) – Welding symbols * Technical drawing standards Experience and Requirements Detailing experience in: * Railings and handrails * Metal stairs * Balconies * Grilles, frames, and architectural metalwork Desirable workshop manufacturing processes: **cutting • assembly • welding • finishing** Reading of architectural drawings Fabrication tolerances, basic anchoring and fastening criteria * **Minimum 5 years of advanced AutoCAD experience** as a Structural Detailer * Intermediate-to-advanced Excel * Practical experience and/or academic background in architecture or engineering. * Proactive * English proficiency: minimum 80% * High attention to detail * Technical and spatial thinking * Engineering interpretation capability * Teamwork with production and engineering departments * Sense of urgency and adherence to deadlines Please apply only if residing in Tijuana, Rosarito, or Tecate.
