Interact with guests and accommodate special requests Our Cook will ensure proper planning, preparation, presentation, replenishment, supervision, and control of the entire food service cycle, guaranteeing high hygiene standards in accordance with brand requirements, ensuring food quality, safety, efficiency, and an excellent guest experience. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Planning and Menu:** Design and plan daily and weekly food production according to occupancy. * **Purchasing and Inventory Management:** Prepare ingredient lists and support procurement control, ensuring optimal quality while adhering to allocated budgets. * **Food Preparation:** Prepare food for daily service, ensuring efficient use of ingredients based on occupancy. Maintain documented waste records. * **Service Supervision:** Supervise food plating, presentation, and temperature. * **Maintenance and Hygiene:** Keep the kitchen, pantry, and refrigerators immaculate. Wash utensils and tableware used during service. * **Food Safety:** Apply hygienic handling standards (e.g., Distintivo H certification) to prevent foodborne illnesses. * **Guest Service:** Explain menu items to diners and accommodate special requests. **Formal Education/Qualifications:** * **Experience:** Minimum 2 years in restaurants, hotels, or as a cook in buffet-style service. * **Skills:** Autonomy, punctuality, and excellent service attitude. * **Plus:** Basic English proficiency (due to high volume of foreign tourists).
