It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities. **Job Description** =================== Responsible for supporting the manufacturing process area by: * Developing new manufacturing processes while maintaining Safety, Quality \& Efficiency. * Analyzing Quality and Productivity trends to identify Continuous Improvement projects. * Identifying, acquiring, and qualifying new production technologies. * Designing work methods, estimating labor standards, arranging equipment layout, installing production lines, and implementing processes under a Lean Manufacturing approach. * Implementing necessary changes and improvements to enhance the process and/or eliminate product quality issues. * Improving productivity by implementing solutions that reduce product manufacturing cost. General Functions and Responsibilities * Maintaining operational compliance of production processes and regulations for medical device manufacturing. * Developing, updating, and implementing procedures and documents required for daily production line operations. * Developing, maintaining, and updating production standards per line and per product. * Maintaining and implementing equipment and workstation layout changes within the production area (lay\-out). * Developing, implementing, and updating visual aid materials for the manufacturing area. * Conducting production equipment capability studies and participating in decisions regarding new equipment procurement. * Providing joint support with relevant departments in investigating and resolving quality issues such as complaints, defects, and rejections. * Identifying and implementing Continuous Improvement projects in manufacturing processes to ensure benefits in quality, delivery time, and product cost. * Actively participating in the implementation of the Lean Manufacturing\-Six Sigma system. * Additionally, the employee participates in other work activities supporting the company’s various strategic objectives. Specific Roles and Responsibilities * Development of new manufacturing processes while maintaining Safety, Quality \& Efficiency. * Analysis of Quality and Productivity trends to identify Continuous Improvement projects. * Identification, acquisition, and qualification of new production technologies. * Design of work methods, estimation of labor standards, equipment layout arrangement, installation of production lines, and implementation of processes under a Lean Manufacturing approach. * Implementation of necessary changes and improvements to enhance the process and/or eliminate product quality issues; improving productivity by implementing solutions that reduce product manufacturing cost. **Requirements:** * Intern pursuing a degree in Engineering or related field. * Basic conversational English. * Proficiency in Minitab. * Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks). * Process development and process validation.
