Handling and treatment of animals during consultations Job Description Formulate surgical plans and approaches for patients requiring surgical intervention. Monitor surgical and outpatient procedures. · Licensed Veterinarian or Veterinary Zootechnician. · Experience in small animal clinical practice (preferred). · Implementation of medical treatments. · Handling and treatment of animals. · Administration of veterinary pharmaceuticals. · Professional license holder. · Minimum age: 25 years. · Minimum 3 years of experience in small animal clinics. · Minimum 2 years of experience in soft tissue surgery. · 1 year of experience in orthopedic surgery (preferred). · Completion of training program at a teaching hospital (preferred). **POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES** The following responsibilities apply: · Perform outpatient procedures. · Maintain individual patient medical records. · Interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging studies. · Implement and monitor in-hospital treatments. · Provide timely emergency care. · Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times. **RESPONSIBILITIES** Specific responsibilities for this position include: · Interpret diagnostic studies to formulate patient-specific anesthetic protocols based on each patient’s health status. · Perform minor outpatient procedures. · Perform soft tissue surgeries. · Administer local, regional, and/or inhalant anesthesia. · Implement postoperative analgesia protocols. · Assist in orthopedic surgeries. · Advise animal owners on sanitary measures, nutrition, and general care required to support proper postoperative recovery. · Complete patient medical records and maintain progress documentation.
