Job Description and Detailed Responsibilities **Job Objective** Analyze, develop, and control product and manufacturing process cost structures, ensuring business profitability through resource optimization, quotation accuracy, and continuous monitoring of cost variances within the contract manufacturing environment. **Main Responsibilities** * Develop and maintain **standard costs** for products (materials, labor, and overhead). * Perform **new product costing (NPI)** including: * Bill of Materials (BOM) analysis * Process routings * Standard times (SMT, assembly, testing, etc.) * Develop **quotations for new projects and customers**, ensuring competitiveness and profitability. * Analyze **actual vs. standard cost variances** (PPV, efficiency, scrap, etc.). * Track **manufacturing costs by line, product, and customer**. * Identify opportunities for **cost reduction (cost saving)** and continuous improvement. * Participate in **production transfer projects (transfer pricing / ramp\-up)**. * Validate and update **cost structures in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)**. * Collaborate with departments including: * Engineering (processes, times, layout) * Procurement (raw material costs) * Production (operational efficiency) * Finance (reporting and analysis) * Prepare financial and operational cost-related reports: * Product margin * Profitability analysis * Conversion costs * Participate in internal and external audits related to costs. **Specific Functions in Contract Manufacturing** * Cost analysis for processes such as: * SMT (Surface Mount Technology) * Manual and automated assembly * Functional testing (FCT, ICT) * Calculation of: * Cost per minute/hour per line * Direct labor efficiency * Machinery utilization * Evaluation of impacts from: * Engineering changes (ECO/ECN) * Production volume * Supplier changes * Support for **make vs. buy** strategies. * Cost control in high-mix/low-volume (HMLV) or high-volume environments.
