Summary: This role supports Product Design and Test Development Engineers with assembly, documentation, and material management for test systems. Highlights: 1. Provide key services to Technicians and Engineers in Product Design 2. Perform prototype assembly, soldering, inspection, and rework 3. Creative input to engineering regarding component selection and design **Activities** * Provide key services to Technicians and Engineers in Product Design and Test Development, including circuit board assembly, cable assembly, test fixture assembly, test system assembly, documentation generation, and input on component selection and design for assembly/maintenance ease. * Build and install customer products for test systems based on drawings, schematics, and/or engineering sketches. * Assemble circuit boards and test equipment into test racks and fixtures using schematics, BOMs, CAD models, engineering sketches, or verbal instructions from engineers. * Perform prototype assembly with minimal documentation. * Conduct prototype soldering, inspection, and rework. * Work with leadership to determine priorities as needed. * Enter drawings, technical data, and text to document test solutions. * Specify and recommend the purchase of tools required for new technologies or assembly needs. * Provide creative input to engineering regarding component selection and design for manufacturability. * Recommend, track, receive, and organize test equipment and project materials. * Assist the purchasing department in identifying components that require expediting. * Pull project components from engineering lab stock. * Organize and maintain the engineering lab inventory. * Complete record keeping and paperwork associated with assigned tasks. Descriptions: * English 80% * Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. * Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. * Knowledge of electronic components and hands‑on experience with soldering and assembly. * Ability to work within established guidelines to solve basic to moderately complex issues in collaboration with engineers.
