




Position Summary: Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and leading automation opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and safety in metal-mechanical manufacturing processes. Description and details of responsibilities Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and leading automation opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and safety in metal\-mechanical manufacturing processes, including manual assembly, riveting, welding, and grinding. This role requires a strong understanding of end\-to\-end automation processes, acting as a technical liaison between operations and automation providers, ensuring effective implementation without necessarily being responsible for detailed design. * Analyze current manufacturing processes (manual assembly, riveting, welding, grinding) to identify automation opportunities. * Design and develop automated systems, fixtures, and tooling to improve efficiency and repeatability. * Lead automation projects from concept through design, procurement, installation, and validation (FAT/SAT). * Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure successful implementation of automated solutions. * Develop and maintain process documentation, including PFMEA, work instructions, and control plans. * Program or troubleshoot PLCs, robots, and automated equipment (if applicable). * Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, ergonomics, and cost savings. * Evaluate ROI for automation projects and prepare business cases. * Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all automation implementations. * Provide technical training to operators and maintenance personnel. * Monitor and improve process performance through data analysis. * Support new product introductions (NPI) ensuring manufacturability and automation readiness.
