Job Summary:
We are seeking a diesel mechanic with experience in maintenance and repair of tractor-trailers and tank trucks, with knowledge of hydraulics and diesel engines.

Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in a transportation company required:
2 years of experience in hydraulic mechanics, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of tank trucks, hydraulic pumps, and ventilation systems. Basic Level I repair knowledge for trailers and tractor-trailers (including scheduled lubrications). Work with stainless steel. Creativity in solving mechanical problems. Shop cleanliness. Washing of tractor-trailers. Completion of work orders. Cleanliness in one's own work.

ALL TASKS RELATED TO THIS POSITION.

Knowledge and Skills:
Fault diagnosis, computer and scanning equipment operation, diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, tires, welding, and electrical systems.

1\. CONTROL, EXECUTION, CONTROL, AND SAFETY.
2\. MECHANICAL INSPECTIONS, 90-DAY INSPECTIONS, REPAIR OF WARNINGS AND TICKETS, RECORDING AND TRACKING OF REPAIRS.
3\. PHYSICAL-MECHANICAL INSPECTION, COMPLIANCE WITH WORK ORDERS, VERIFICATION OF OVERALL UNIT CONDITION.
4\. SERVICE LOGS AND MAINTENANCE GENERATORS.
5\. TOOL CARE.
6\. REPAIR OF DIESEL ENGINES: CUMMINS, ISX, ISM, MERCEDES-BENZ, DETROIT SERIES 60, AND DD15; FULLER 10-, 13-, AND 18-SPEED TRANSMISSIONS.
7\. SUSPENSIONS AND BRAKES, COMPUTERIZED DIAGNOSTICS, AFTERTREATMENT SYSTEMS, ELECTRICITY, AND WELDING.
8\. BRAKES, LIGHTS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SEALS, ENGINES, MECHANICAL FAULT DIAGNOSIS, DETROIT, CUMMINS, AND MERCEDES-BENZ ENGINES.
9\. DOT/CHP REQUIREMENTS FOR TRACTOR-TRAILERS, BOX TRUCKS, AND TANK TRUCKS.
10\. HANDLING OF DOT/CHP 90-DAY FORMS AND CHECKLISTS.
11\. CLEANLINESS OF YOUR WORK AREA.
