




Job Summary: Responsible for transporting HAZMAT and regular freight, ensuring cargo integrity, documentation accuracy, and compliance with safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: 1. HAZMAT and regular freight transportation at various temperatures 2. Handling of refrigeration equipment (Thermo King, Carrier) 3. Compliance with DOT regulations in the USA and SCT regulations in Mexico Description and details of duties * Verifies all cargo-related documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy. * Complies with and follows all safety procedures for transporting HAZMAT and regular freight. * Inspects trucks, trailers, and trailer boxes to ensure they are always in safe operating condition. * Maintains records of driving hours and repair/service status of trucks in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations in both Mexico and the USA. * Obtains signatures and/or receipts for delivered cargo and requests documentation when required. * Confirms that all necessary shipping documentation is complete and accurate. * Operates vehicles exceeding 3 tons, including trailers and tractor-trailer combinations, to transport HAZMAT and regular freight at various temperatures. * Secures cargo using chains, bars, straps, ratchets, tarps, tie-downs, and ropes. * Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, and damage to transportation equipment. * Reports any damage to cargo occurring during loading, unloading, transportation, or cross-border transit. * Submits documentation to the relevant work team. * Maintains cleanliness inside and outside assigned transportation equipment. * Conducts pre-shipment inspections on tractors and trailer boxes. * Monitors, controls, and reports temperature conditions in refrigerated trailer boxes. * Responsible for adhering to company-established routes and schedules. * Responsible for maintaining cargo integrity throughout the entire journey per C\-TPAT and OEA guidelines. * Transports freight to and from local suppliers upon company request. * Performs daily inspections of transportation units to ensure proper operation. * Provides support to take units for scheduled maintenance as requested by the company.
