Job Description and Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring verification and monitoring activities related to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems, as well as applicable requirements for these departments. Participates in the implementation of environmental engineering, safety, and health projects and programs, ensuring timely adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies to minimize risks of worker injury or environmental damage. Diagnose, assess, and report to the coordinator when the following chemical agents are present in the workplace: dust, fibers, gases, and vapors—so that improvement plans and controls can be implemented. Identify, assess, and report to the coordinator when the following physical agents are present in the workplace: noise, lighting, thermal comfort, vibrations, and radiation—so that improvement plans and controls can be implemented. Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA) to evaluate risks associated with equipment, machinery, tools, materials, electricity, etc. Oversee the completion of Safety Logbooks in the coordinator’s absence. Lead the development of newly created procedures. Lead the updating of the training matrix. Assist in delivering/collecting documentation to governmental agencies. May evaluate and recommend the purchase of safety and personal protective equipment, as well as environmental prevention, protection, and control materials and equipment for various company areas. Verify the activities performed by EHS Technicians during the EHS Coordinator’s absence. Comply with and enforce Quality requirements. Contribute to achieving the required service level within the Laboratory. Promote continuous improvement practices. Conduct process and system audits. Promote good safety, health, and environmental practices.
