




Position Summary: Leads the indirect spend category, manages the procurement team, drives cost reduction, and develops efficient processes in Tijuana, B.C. Key Highlights: 1. Negotiation of agreements and management of supplier contracts **POSITION OBJECTIVE:** ======================== Leads the indirect spend category for the Tijuana, B.C. operation, providing support to all departments for their indirect product and service needs, and managing the indirect procurement team in their daily responsibilities. Responsible for driving cost reduction initiatives and developing efficient indirect procurement processes. In addition, negotiation of agreements and management of supplier contracts (including payment terms, deliveries, service levels, and compliance) is critical to ensure security, compliance, cost, and service expectations, considering fiscal and documentary requirements in Mexico (e.g., CFDI/applicable certificates) and coordination with Corporate Legal/Compliance. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:** ========================== * Leads *sourcing* activities to identify and develop local and national suppliers; ensures supplier onboarding and compliance with corporate and local requirements (applicable fiscal and legal documentation) for timely registration. * Monitors accuracy and maintenance of the supplier master (data, payment terms, document validity) and ensures data governance for procurement/finance. * Supports supplier development and execution of corrective action plans (CAPA) when applicable, in coordination with Quality, EHS, and Operations. * Maintains effective supplier relationships and ensures availability of information and documentation for internal, external, and customer audits (when applicable), complying with corporate policies and local requirements. * Supplier visits as needed * Drives cost-saving initiatives and manages cost-reduction projects * Initiates funnel-filling activities (TCP) and ideation sessions to ensure continuous improvement in indirect categories. * Prepares data for cost-reduction projects and presents analysis to senior leadership * Serves as the primary subject matter expert on indirect raw materials, key suppliers, pricing services, and indirect spend * Develops deep market knowledge, overall supply base capacity for MRO items, safety, and capital expenditure. Other indirect areas may include marketing, IT, expo, etc. **Procurement Responsibilities** ------------------------------- * Establishes and standardizes procurement processes that increase efficiency, ensure traceability, and facilitate audit compliance; coordinates with International Trade/Logistics as applicable to align with import/export requirements for the Tijuana operation. * Manages indirect buyers and ensures fulfillment of daily operational labor requirements **Service Contract Management** ------------------------------------- * Leads and manages service contracts. * Manages and facilitates quarterly business reviews, maintains records of service agreements, and ensures contracts comply with corporate and regulatory requirements in Mexico (e.g., valid insurance, applicable labor compliance for specialized services, among others, as appropriate). * Responsible for service transitions, terminations, and stakeholder communication * Negotiates pricing, scope of work, frequency, payment terms, service levels, etc. * Watkins represents Masco’s Master Contract negotiations. Reviews quotations, proposals, and contracts to ensure alignment with budget and scope. * Coordinates with Masco’s Corporate Legal Department on contracts, supply agreements, legal matters, and other related issues. ### ***This is not an exhaustive list of all position responsibilities.
