Access to professional AI tools. **About the Role** Vertex Analytical Labs, with operations in Tijuana, B.C., is hiring a Data Analyst Jr. for its Information Technology team. This position reports directly to the Tech Lead and delivers real impact on group operations from day one. Your responsibility will be to consolidate data sources into structured models that enable data-driven decisions—ensuring accurate, clearly visualized information—while also providing clean, reliable data layers to the development team for AI solutions. **Requirements** * Power BI Desktop: building data models, defining table relationships, authoring DAX measures, and publishing to Power BI Service * Power Query: transforming and cleaning data from live sources such as Excel, Access, and SharePoint * Advanced Excel: pivot tables, VLOOKUP / INDEX\-MATCH, handling large volumes of historical data * SQL: querying relational databases, including SELECT, JOINs, and filtering against Access tables * Python: pandas and openpyxl for data transformation and automation of data loads * Git / GitHub: version control for scripts and notebooks * Active use of AI Copilot in Power BI, Claude, or ChatGPT to generate DAX, SQL, or pandas code **Preferred Qualifications** * Direct Power BI connectivity to SharePoint and OneDrive as live sources * Automation tools: Power Automate, Python scheduling (cron / APScheduler), or similar for scheduling data updates and alerts * Dataverse: foundational knowledge for data migration **Responsibilities** * Connect and centralize data sources (Excel, Access, SharePoint, OneDrive) via Power Query to ensure a clean, up-to-date data flow * Clean, transform, and model historical data to replace manual reports with reproducible, documented processes * Design and maintain operational KPI dashboards per business unit, as well as a consolidated executive view of the group * Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service with automatic refresh * Support the development team in integrating and debugging dashboards for AI solutions: validate input data correctness, ensure proper visualization of model outputs, and guarantee interpretability for non-technical stakeholders * Write and maintain SQL queries for data extraction and validation from relational databases * Develop Python scripts (pandas, openpyxl) to automate data loads and transformations * Document the end-to-end data pipeline: sources, transformations, dependencies, and business logic **Candidate Profile** * Education in Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience (e.g., data bootcamps, certified courses, or demonstrable personal projects) * Entry Level / 1 year of experience * Analytical thinking oriented toward detail and data accuracy * Ability to translate technical data into clear insights for non-technical audiences * Problem-solving orientation with strong self-management skills **What We Offer** * Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM * Statutory benefits (IMSS, vacation, year-end bonus, vacation premium) * Access to professional AI tools. * Projects with real operational impact starting in the first month Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $10,826\.50 \- $16,000\.00 per month Work Location: On-site
