Position Summary: We are seeking an Academic/Disciplinary Counselor to support and guide students, manage school discipline, and foster a harmonious and safe learning environment. Promotion of a respectful and inclusive school environment **Job Description:** We seek a committed **Academic/Disciplinary Counselor** dedicated to the holistic development of students, capable of providing academic and emotional counseling, guidance, and support, as well as managing school discipline respectfully and effectively. This individual will foster a harmonious and safe environment aligned with institutional values. This position operates under a **monthly rotating shift schedule**, requiring availability and flexibility to adapt to the institution’s assigned schedules. **Requirements:** * **Academic Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Pedagogy, Educational Sciences, Social Work, or related fields (e.g., Educational Guidance, Education, or Psychopedagogy). * Training in positive discipline, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, or similar areas (preferred). **Experience:** * Training in positive discipline, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, or similar areas (preferred). * Experience working with adolescents in educational institutions and/or upper-secondary and higher-education schools. * Basic knowledge of positive discipline strategies and conflict resolution techniques. * Availability for on-site work under a monthly rotating shift schedule. * Ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams. **Main Responsibilities:** * Provide academic and disciplinary counseling and guidance to students. * Intervene in mediating and resolving conflicts among students, in coordination with teachers and parents/guardians. * Promote a respectful, inclusive, and harmonious environment within the school community. * Supervise compliance with institutional rules and protocols. * Observe and identify behaviors requiring special attention, referring cases to appropriate authorities. * Develop preventive strategies regarding discipline and school coexistence. * Actively participate in professional development activities and institutional events. **Skills and Competencies:** * Observational and behavioral analysis skills. * Mediation, active listening, and emotional support abilities. * Leadership and group management skills. * Assertive and empathetic communication. * Case organization and follow-up capabilities. * Commitment to the educational institution’s values and principles. * Flexibility to work under a rotating shift schedule.
