Position Summary: Quality Manager to ensure product quality, supervise processes, and manage the quality management system in the paper and packaging industry. Key Highlights: 1. Training in quality control and good manufacturing practices. **SOMOS CARTÓN** is hiring a **Quality Manager** In the corrugated cardboard paper and packaging industry. **POSITION OBJECTIVE** Ensure that manufactured products meet established quality standards by supervising and continuously improving production processes, and guaranteeing achievement of quality objectives. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** \-Supervise and coordinate quality control department activities, including floor sampling, monitoring, and data recording. \-Validate and/or perform analyses and tests on incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with requirements. \-Submit and track non-conformance reports to suppliers for rejected products or services. \-Validate and review activities related to inventories, calibrations, and/or validations of company measurement equipment. \-Manage resources for external calibrations or verifications of equipment requiring such services. \-Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards to ensure conformity with product specifications and customer requirements. \-Participate in multidisciplinary committees as required, representing the Quality Department. \-Validate that documentation and records related to quality management system processes are being completed as required. \-Assess departmental risks and opportunities, propose and execute corresponding actions. \-Generate and deliver reports requested by Management and/or Operations Management. \-Monitor compliance with KPIs. \-Inspect and verify implementation of corrective actions regarding quality control issues. \-Develop and deliver training programs on quality control and good manufacturing practices for production personnel. \-Create and develop strategies for improving departmental processes. \-Evaluate performance of subordinates to identify areas for internal staff development and improvement. \-Comply with safety and hygiene regulations. Comply with and implement the requirements of the QMS. **KNOWLEDGE** \-Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office suite) \-In-depth knowledge of quality control techniques and tools, such as statistical sampling, root cause analysis, and flowcharts. \-Familiarity with quality regulations and standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). \-Experience using quality measurement and testing equipment, as well as interpreting results. \-Ability to work with and lead teams. \-Analytical skills to interpret quality data and trends, identifying areas for improvement and optimization opportunities. **COMPETENCIES** · Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality assurance roles, preferably within the manufacturing industry. · Experience in implementing and maintaining management systems. · Leadership skills and ability to motivate and direct multidisciplinary teams.
