Apply paint or lacquer finishes to surfaces—typically wood, metal, plastic, or other materials—to achieve an aesthetic appearance, protect the material, or meet company technical specifications and standards. **As a Painter/Lacquerer, you will be responsible for:** * Applying paint or lacquer finishes to surfaces—typically wood, metal, plastic, or other materials—to achieve an aesthetic appearance, protect the material, or meet company technical specifications and standards. * Preparing surfaces for lacquering by sanding and cleaning them to ensure proper adhesion. * Applying layers of lacquer, varnish, or paint using spray guns, brushes, or rollers, as required. * Controlling the amount and uniformity of applied product to avoid imperfections. * Performing appropriate drying and curing of applied finishes. * Maintaining a clean and organized work area. * Inspecting parts to ensure they meet quality standards. * Reporting any defects or issues identified during the process. * Complying with safety standards and proper handling of materials and tools. **To perform this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:** * 2 years of verifiable experience as a general assistant in carpentry, lacquering, and painting environments. * Completed secondary education or high school diploma. * Basic knowledge of wood types and their applications. **In this position, it would be advantageous to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:** * Proficiency with general carpentry tools and equipment (drills, saws, planers, cutters, lathes, routers, polishers, etc.). * Proficiency with painting and fine-finishing tools (air compressors, gravity-fed spray guns, belt sanders, brushes, rollers, etc.). * General knowledge of inks, varnishes, sealers, and protectors.
