Position Summary: We are seeking a faculty member with a degree in Industrial Design or related field and at least three years of experience to teach knowledge in the creation and development of textile prototypes and models, applying design, technology, and sustainability principles. Develops the talent of students with an innovative vision. **Models and Prototypes in Textiles** **Position Objective:** To provide students with the tools and knowledge necessary to create, develop, and materialize textile product prototypes and models, applying principles of design, technology, and sustainability. **Responsibilities:** * Study the properties of textile materials (e.g., fabrics, threads, fibers) and how they influence the design and manufacturing of products—from material selection through final production. * Teach students how to create functional textile product models and prototypes using diverse techniques, either manually or with technological tools such as 3D printing or specialized textile design software. * Foster the ability to develop innovative textile products that are not only aesthetically appealing but also functional and suitable for their intended purpose. * Provide individual follow-up for each student. **Requirements:** * A degree and professional license in Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field are mandatory. * A Master’s degree with title and professional license is desirable. * Minimum three years of teaching experience. * Familiarity with platforms and systems such as Teams, Blackboard, or similar is desirable. **Competencies:** * Strong service orientation * Effective communication * Organizational skills * Ethics **Why Work at UVM?** We are Mexico’s largest private university, with 60 years of academic experience, social commitment, and professional vision.
