* Design and supervise secondary cementing or squeeze cementing operations to repair cement seal failures. * Interpretation of cement evaluation test results (such as cement bond logs) to confirm that adequate zonal isolation has been achieved. * Prepare a detailed report with volumes, densities, pressures, times, and any incidents occurred during the operation. * Monitor Cement Waiting on Cement (WOC) time, which is the period during which the cement must achieve minimum compressive strength. * Supervise the release of plugs (bottom and top) to prevent cement contamination and displace it to the bottom of the well. * Monitor final pressure to confirm seating of the top plug. * Control pumping of conditioning fluids (washers and spacers) and cement slurry, managing rates and pressures. * Supervise cement mixing at the cementing unit, verifying that density and properties match design specifications. * Supervise proper connection and integrity testing of high-pressure lines and cementing equipment. * Supervise proper placement of cementing accessories. * Ensure drilling mud is conditioned (circulated for cleaning and property adjustment) prior to cementing. * Develop detailed operating procedures and contingency plans. * Determine the optimal mix of cement, water, and additives (accelerators, retarders, dispersants, lost circulation agents) to achieve optimal rheological and setting properties according to downhole temperature and pressure.
