Summary: As an EHS Specialist, you will identify, reduce, and control occupational health, safety, and environmental risks, leading EHS program implementation and ensuring regulatory compliance. Oversee environmental compliance, including waste management **Your Job**As an EHS Specialist you will identify, reduce, and control occupational health, safety, and environmental risks across our facility. You will lead implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance (including operation of the waste treatment plant), and provide technical guidance to operations, medical services, security, and construction teams to maintain a safe, compliant workplace. **Our Team** You will join the DSS EHS function in Guadalajara, reporting to the EHS Coordinator and working closely with Operations, HR, Management, and external regulators. The role supervises an EHS Technician and supports cross\-functional programs across production, quality, and supply\-chain teams. **What You Will Do** * Drive implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs, policies, and procedures to reduce incidents and improve safety performance. * Lead audits, inspections, and risk assessments (internal, supplier, and regulatory) and convert findings into prioritized corrective actions. * Manage corporate and government reporting systems (e.g., SIAAT, SIRCE, SISLECT, DECLARALAB, PASST, ENABLON) and prepare regulatory submissions to maintain compliance. * Deliver and scale employee safety training and awareness programs to embed safe work practices and legal requirements. * Investigate accidents and incidents, produce clear reports (including root\-cause analysis), and coordinate preventive measures to avoid recurrence. * Oversee environmental compliance activities, including hazardous/non\-hazardous waste management and operation of the waste treatment plant. * Support management system requirements (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001\) including implementation, certification readiness and monitoring. * Promote and support 5S, Lean, Quality and Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) programs to improve plant safety and operational discipline. * Coordinate contractor control, LOTO, confined space, and working\-at\-heights programs to ensure contractor and employee safety. * Supervise and coach the EHS Technician; collaborate with internal stakeholders and external regulators to achieve compliance and improvement goals. **Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)** * Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field. * Minimum 3 years' experience leading safety, hygiene, and environmental programs in industrial or manufacturing plants (supervisory or coordination level). * English proficiency at B2 (independent user) \- able to handle audits and technical communication in both English and Spanish. * Strong working knowledge of Mexican safety and environmental legislation and familiarity with government agencies (e.g., STPS, SEMARNAT, SEMADES). * Experience managing corporate/government reporting systems (SIAAT, SIRCE, SISLECT, DECLARALAB, PASST, ENABLON) and competent with MS Office and collaboration tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook). **What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)** * Certifications such as OSHA, NEBOSH, CSP or equivalent. * Hands\-on experience implementing and auditing ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 management systems. * Proven experience managing hazardous waste, waste treatment plant operations, or environmental permitting. * Practical experience with contractor management, LOTO programs, confined\-space entry, and working\-at\-heights controls. * Prior experience in Lean/5S environments and delivering large\-scale safety/training programs across shifts.
