Train drivers and report fleet status. **Job Description** ------------------------- Inspect business units and transportation bases in compliance with NOM\-068, NOM\-035, and NOM\-012 to ensure that self-transport fleets are fit and safe for operation. **Main Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Verify the physical\-mechanical conditions of components of self-transport equipment, which helps validate that equipment meets safe operating conditions. * Electronically record unit condition compliance using a designated tool. * Notify availability of transport units. * Train drivers for CEMEX’s third-party fleet. * Inform transportation administrators of fleet status by submitting reports on unit conditions. * Conduct periodic inspections and assess severity of mechanical defects for subsequent repair, either at internal or external workshops. * Attend off-site mechanical inspections of units when required. * Maintain tools and work equipment in good condition. * Maintain daily inspection logs to control unit maintenance. * Comply with safety and hygiene standards and perform duties responsibly. * Report behaviors or practices inconsistent with CEMEX culture and values. Validate customer access zones and facilities to ensure efficient and safe deliveries. **Job Challenges** -------------------- Determine whether a self-transport unit is fit and safe. Condition a vehicle for operation by a committed date. Assess site safety conditions prior to conducting inspections. **Required Skills and Knowledge** ------------------------------------------ Education: Bachelor’s degree: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. University-level education or TSU (Technical Superior University) preferred. Flexible working hours. Valid driver’s license. Standard automobile driving skills. Preference for candidates residing in the area where the position is offered. Willingness to travel. Required Experience: Experience in customer service roles. Experience in positions related to inspection/repair of heavy-duty cargo transport units.
