Opportunity for career development in telecommunications **VACANCY: OPTICAL FIBER INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT** A leading telecommunications company is seeking an **OPTICAL FIBER INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT** to support the installation technician in optical fiber service installation, maintenance, and repair activities, ensuring proper task execution and compliance with quality and safety standards. Location: Cd. Valles, San Luis Potosí Vacancies: 2 Age: 18 to 45 years **Duties and Responsibilities** * Assist in optical fiber installation at residential and/or commercial premises * Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for work * Perform cable laying, conduit routing, and fiber fixation * Assist in fiber splicing, connectorization, and basic testing (as trained) * Ensure order and cleanliness of the worksite * Comply with safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) * Assist in safeguarding and transporting tools and materials * Follow instructions from the responsible technician * Assist in preparing basic work reports **Requirements** * Minimum education level: High school diploma * Desired experience in optical fiber * Availability for fieldwork * Flexible schedule availability (rotating shifts) * Physical fitness and ability to work at heights **Desired Knowledge** * Basic use of hand tools * Fundamental knowledge of structured cabling or optical fiber * Basic understanding of field safety **Competencies** * Teamwork * Responsibility * Attention to instructions * Willingness to learn * Punctuality Employment Type: Full-time, Indefinite-term contract Salary: $9,330.00 per month Benefits: * Complimentary uniforms * Grocery vouchers Relocation/commuting capability: * Ciudad Valles, S.L.P.: Ability to commute to work without difficulty or plan relocation prior to starting employment (Mandatory) Application Question(s): * Do you hold a valid driver’s license and know how to drive a standard vehicle? * Do you have letters of professional recommendation? * Are you available to work rotating weekend shifts?
