Installation and calibration of optical fiber measurement equipment **VACANCY: OPTICAL FIBER MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN** A prominent telecommunications company is seeking an **OPTICAL FIBER MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN** to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on optical fiber infrastructure, ensuring the quality, continuity, and availability of telecommunications services for customers. Vacancies: 2 Location: Cd. Valles, San Luis Potosí Age: 18 to 45 years **Functions and Responsibilities** * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on optical fiber networks (FTTH/FTTx) * Detect and repair network failures, fiber cuts, connectivity issues, and signal problems * Perform fiber splicing, connectorization, and continuity and attenuation testing of optical fiber * Install, maintain, and calibrate optical fiber measurement equipment (OTDR, power meters, etc.) * Review and maintain maintenance records and technical reports * Coordinate with technical support, NOC, and installation teams to resolve incidents * Comply with industrial safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) * Maintain tools, equipment, and work materials in good condition **Requirements** * Minimum education: High school diploma or technical degree in telecommunications, electronics, or related fields * Experience in optical fiber installation and maintenance (preferred) * Knowledge of structured cabling, splicing, and optical fiber measurement * Availability for fieldwork * Physical capability and ability to work at heights (where applicable) **Competencies** * Analytical and problem-solving skills * Teamwork * Responsibility and punctuality * Results- and quality-oriented mindset * Attention to detail Employment Type: Full-time, Indefinite-term contract Salary: $9,328.00 per month Benefits: * Free uniforms * Grocery vouchers Relocation/moving capability: * Ciudad Valles, S.L.P.: Ability to commute to work without difficulty or plan relocation before starting work (Mandatory) Application Question(s): * Do you know how to drive a manual transmission vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license? * Do you have letters of employment recommendation? * Are you available to work rotating weekend shifts?
