




Job Summary: The Safety and Hygiene Coordinator is responsible for implementing and communicating the Occupational Safety and Hygiene Management System, ensuring compliance with standards to achieve zero accidents. Key Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for implementing the Safety and Hygiene Management System. 2. Advise the management team to establish a ZERO-accident culture. 3. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in safety and hygiene. Flex-N-Gate is a continuously growing manufacturing company and an industry leader in the automotive sector, ranked #10 among North America’s top 150 suppliers by “Automotive News”. **Reports to:** * General Manager. **Summary:** The Safety and Hygiene Coordinator is responsible for implementing and communicating the Occupational Safety and Hygiene Management System at the plant. They must ensure implementation of safety and hygiene programs, policies, and procedures, certifying that appropriate safety standards are in place so the company achieves its priority of zero accidents and incidents. They are also responsible for providing technical advice to the management team to establish a ZERO-accident and incident culture through risk analysis. They must guarantee legal and regulatory compliance with various governmental authorities. **Job Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience in a similar role, preferably within the automotive sector. * ISO 45001 certification preferred. * Excellent organizational and leadership skills. * Certification as External Training Agent (ACE DC-5). * Effective communication skills, both oral and written. * Knowledge of applicable occupational safety and hygiene legislation. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Word, Project, etc). Accident investigation certification and/or Root Cause Analysis techniques (8D, RCA), * Promote, implement, and ensure compliance with the Corporate Safety and Hygiene Policy, as well as previously established standards. * Ensure compliance with occupational safety and hygiene legislation applicable to the company according to its production processes. * Implement and ensure compliance with management systems for safety and hygiene, as well as other applicable systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, etc.). * Advise the management team and middle management on implementing preventive safety programs. * Train and ensure training of all personnel in safety and hygiene through the annual training program.
