




**POSITION SUMMARY** Providing care for and preventing work-related illnesses and injuries through timely primary medical care, identifying potential health hazards to workers, and promoting health; administering first aid and immediate medical care in case of injuries or emergencies at the workplace. * **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Providing care to personnel through: + Daily consultations + Assistance in medical evaluations (e.g., general vital signs measurement, collection of samples for COVID-19, doping, and breathalyzer tests) + Assistance in conducting medical examinations (e.g., pre-employment, annual, and health promotion exams; special job-related exams such as for crane operators, forklift drivers, and working at heights, among others) + Administration of medications and wound care * Organizing medical records and documenting consultations in the medical information system. * Managing cases of occupational illness and injury + Recording absences (general illness and accidents) + Daily reporting of absences + Reporting absences to the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) + Generating statistics: - Occupational accident reports - Medical consultations - Medical examinations - Audits - Workplace inspections * Promoting health through: + Screening for hypertension, diabetes, overweight, and prenatal care + Vaccination campaigns, early cancer detection initiatives, among others + Health promotion talks + Coordinating visits by laboratories, optical centers, pharmacies, and specialist physicians + Scheduling microbiological testing for cafeteria operations + Conducting periodic cafeteria audits + Developing communication board materials + Participating in employee onboarding courses * Administering the medical department + Quoting and procuring medical department supplies, including medications, wound care equipment, and biometric devices, and placing corresponding purchase orders + Coordinating microbiological testing for cafeteria operations and cafeteria staff + Managing the hearing conservation and respiratory protection programs + Organizing and participating in staff health events: picnic, Health Week, monthly events with vendors * Promoting safety through: + Conducting production area inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions + Scheduling and carrying out safety and hygiene committee inspections; reporting and following up on identified findings + Managing processes for accident investigations + Conducting initial ergonomic assessments + Participating in TIER meetings + Training and developing content for emergency response teams + Participating in employee onboarding courses.
