Coordination with technical support for incident resolution **VACANCY: FIBER OPTIC MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN** A prominent telecommunications company seeks a **FIBER OPTIC MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN** to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fiber optic infrastructure, ensuring quality, continuity, and availability of telecommunications services for customers. Vacancies: 2 Location: Tampico, Tamaulipas Age: 18 to 45 years **Duties and Responsibilities** * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of fiber optic networks (FTTH/FTTx) * Identify and repair network failures, fiber cuts, connectivity issues, and signal problems * Perform fiber optic splicing, connectorization, and continuity and attenuation testing * Install, maintain, and calibrate fiber optic test equipment (OTDR, power meters, etc.) * Review and maintain maintenance logs and technical reports * Coordinate with technical support, NOC, and installation teams for incident resolution * Comply with industrial safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) * Maintain tools, equipment, and work materials in good condition **Requirements** * Minimum education: High school diploma or technical degree in telecommunications, electronics, or related fields * Experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance (preferred) * Knowledge of structured cabling, splicing, and fiber optic measurement * Availability for fieldwork * Physical capability and ability to work at heights (where applicable) **Competencies** * Analytical and problem-solving skills * Teamwork * Responsibility and punctuality * Results- and quality-oriented mindset * Attention to detail Employment Type: Full-time, Indefinite-term contract Salary: $9,328.00 per month Benefits: * Free uniforms * Grocery vouchers Relocation/moving capability: * Tampico, Tamps.: Ability to commute to work without difficulty or plan relocation before starting employment (Mandatory) Application Question(s): * Do you know how to drive a manual transmission vehicle and hold a valid driver's license? * Do you have letters of recommendation from previous employers? * Are you available to work rotating weekend shifts?
