**Date:** Oct 10, 2025 **Location:** Reynosa, TAM, MX, 88730 **Company:** Corning **Role Purpose** ---------------- The Engineering Manager will be a key leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing engineering within our organization. This position plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Engineering Manager will lead a team of skilled engineers to design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest level of productivity, quality, and cost\-effectiveness. The incumbent will collaborate with cross\-functional teams to drive innovation, enhance product development, and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations. **Key Responsibilities** ------------------------ * Team Leadership: Lead and manage an engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and professional growth. * Process Optimization: Analyze existing manufacturing processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity. * New Process Development: Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to design and develop new manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless integration of advanced technologies and best practices. * Cost Management: Monitor and control production costs, seeking innovative ways to reduce expenses while maintaining product quality and safety standards. * Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including R\&D, production, maintenance, and supply chain teams, to foster a cohesive and collaborative work environment. * Provide specific engineering and manufacturing skills and knowledge direction (understands theories and fundamentals) and ensure team members identify root cause of issues in order to provide permanent solutions. * Manage resources that ensure all Environmental, Safety and Health requirements for projects are met. * Manage resources that help develop SME knowledge of material, process and/or equipment in focused areas of manufacturing or engineering. **Experiences/Education \- Required** ------------------------------------- **Education:** * Bachelor of Science in Engineering Filed (preferred but not a must: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic, Electronic or similar) * Minimum of 10\+ years of relative experience with equipment design and delivering and supporting systems in manufacturing. **Required Skills:** * + Experience in high volume production environments + Experience in labor intensive and asset intensive operations + Experience in engineering leadership role, with proven progression of leadership roles from engineer to manager + Strong background in process optimization, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. + Excellent analytical and problem\-solving skills, with the ability to drive data\-driven decisions. + Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and inspire cross\-functional teams. + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization. + Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. + Adaptability to evolving technologies and a commitment to staying updated with industry trends. + Lead or participate in engineering strategy creating process **Experiences/Education \- Desired** ------------------------------------ **Desired Skills:** * Process simulation software and computer\-aided design (CAD) tools. * Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing processes. * Experience with Fiber optic processing technology * Experience working with Automation Vendors **Soft Skills:** * + Strong leadership + Excellent interpersonal skills + Demonstrate a strong work ethic. + Independence and self\-motivation + Communication skills
