**Job Description:**
OPERATIONS AND PRICING MANAGER (Must have experience in LOGISTICS and/or TRANSPORTATION companies).
**Requirements:**
· Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Foreign Trade, Logistics, or related field.
· Minimum 4 years of experience in operations and pricing, sales, or supplier negotiation (preferably in freight forwarding).
· Advanced English.
· Analytical, organized profile with a strong sense of urgency and high attention to detail.
**Job Objective:**
Oversee general and specialized cargo land transportation operations; manage operational execution of shipments and quotations (pricing), ensuring competitive response times, profitability per operation, and effective communication with customers and suppliers—especially in USA–Mexico cross\-border operations.
**Main Responsibilities:**
· Oversee general and specialized cargo land transportation operations.
· Meet weekly cargo volume budget, reporting daily progress.
· General knowledge of applicable NOMs and regulatory frameworks for transportation in the USA and Mexico.
· Optimize route planning, delivery timelines, and fleet utilization.
· Coordinate teams across logistics, traffic, operators, and operational staff.
· Monitor operational KPIs, logistics costs, and budgets.
· Fully effective collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, Billing, Collections, etc., to ensure customer service levels.
· **Customer Service**: Maintain EXCELLENT operational customer service, accurate communications, and prompt response times.
· Daily route planning and optimization.
· **Monitoring and Security**: Coordinate with monitoring team to prevent incidents, traffic violations, and track units per company or client-defined criteria.
· **Operational Standardization**: Establish order and standardized processes (manuals, checklists, etc.).
· **Operational Incidents**: Resolve incidents including accidents, transit delays, federal inspections, and MP matters per established criteria.
· Availability for operational support (including after-hours follow-up by phone if required).
**Support Pricing Analysts:**
· Negotiate and request rates from suppliers aligned with commercial requirements.
· Request and negotiate rates with customers.
· Conduct market, route, and pricing behavior analysis.
· Develop and manage third-party transportation providers.
· Generate and update import/export rate sheets in coordination with management and Growth Directorate.
· Collaborate with Commercial team on pricing strategies.
· Track and record quotations, negotiations, and requests.
· Prepare reports and maintain database control.
· Request and negotiate rates with carriers.
· Analyze cost vs. selling price (margin per shipment).
· Track quotations until closure or loss.
· Update rate database (internal benchmark).
**Required Skills and Knowledge:**
· **Transportation Modes**: Preferably knowledge of Dry Van, Refrigerated, Flatbed, USA Border Crossings, Full/Solo.
· **Mechanics**: Basic mechanical knowledge for operational decision-making.
· **Leadership**: Ability to manage operational staff with firm yet fair approach.
· **Technology**: Advanced Excel and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) proficiency.
· **Interpersonal Skills**: Emotional intelligence and ability to interact effectively with customers.
· **Pro\-active**: Anticipate problem resolution, maintain high order and organization.
· Decision-making and conflict resolution.
**Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
· Knowledge of maintenance for tractors, dollies, and trailers.
· Willingness to travel.
· Knowledge of cargo transportation regulations.
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Punctual, reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented.
· Cost analysis and resource optimization skills.
· Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
