Responsibilities (illustrative, not exhaustive): * Interpret engineering drawings based on dimensional and geometric tolerances * Verify that equipment is operating correctly and equipped with necessary tools for the operation * Select, inspect, and install work-holding devices and tools onto the machine table * Mount raw material onto the machinery * Run the designated program according to the system * Polish and deburr machined parts on the lathe * Verify that machined parts meet drawing standards and specifications **Requirements** Education / Training: Technical degree in machine tools; training in CNC machines Experience: 1 year operating numerically controlled lathes (2- and 3-axis) or machining centers (3-axis) Knowledge / Skills: Proficiency in Mazatrol and ISO programming languages (preferred) Operation of CNC machines, lathes, and machining centers General knowledge of industrial safety and hygiene General knowledge of workshop tools Proficient handling and use of measuring instruments and cutting tools Basic knowledge of technical drawing and blueprint reading Availability: Willingness to rotate shifts, adjust working hours, and change rest days **Additional Information** * In accordance with our mission, vision, and Global Policies: Under no circumstances will any fee or other hiring-related cost be charged to personnel for employment with Smiths, directly or indirectly.
