This position reports to: IS Manager **Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)** In this role, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and facilitate the development, implementation, and successful onboarding of digital solutions. Each day, you will support the adoption of digital platforms and solutions into the customer's business environment along with their subsequent operations and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in ideation workstreams, from identifying and validating needs to defining development. The work model for the role is: #LI-OnSite This role contributes to the NEMA Business in Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, Jalisco. You will be mainly accountable for: * Partnering with stakeholders to develop customized solutions aligned with their objectives, leveraging expertise in ABB's digital solutions. * Performing a variety of software engineering tasks such as development, testing, release, support, and maintenance. * Facilitating seamless integration of new and legacy systems, machines, sensors, and solutions into the IoT platform. * Ensuring all solutions are scalable and maintainable through design decisions and adherence to business standards. * Providing comprehensive support for all NEMA sites, both on-site and remotely, to ensure optimal system functionality. * Assisting in the development of SAP Remote Function Calls (ABAP) and configuration changes to support the digital tools and technology team support portal. * Designing, developing, and optimizing queries, stored procedures, and database tables to ensure efficient data retrieval and management for new solutions. * Continuously seeking out opportunities for innovation and process improvements, enabling the adoption of emerging technologies. **Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)** * Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, software engineering, or a related field. * 5+ years of experience in similar roles as a programmer or software engineer. * Experience with IoT, SQL, NoSQL, Thinworks, Python, and SAP programming. * Proficiency in multiple programming languages (JavaScript, Java, C#, and ABAP preferred). * 3 years of related experience supporting a manufacturing business. * Knowledge of continuous improvement in the manufacturing sector. Green Belt certification is a plus. * Experience developing IoT platforms that connect factory equipment. * Highly analytical and adept at problem-solving. * Advanced English proficiency.
