We are seeking an **Automation Engineer** **Job Description and/or Responsibilities in the Role:** * Diagnose and repair complex faults in PLCs, peripheral systems, and robot controllers during shift hours. * Execute trajectory point recovery and calibration of industrial robots. * Modify and optimize PLC logic sequences to correct intermittent line errors. * Perform periodic backups of control programs and machine vision configurations. * Adjust inspection tools in machine vision systems to prevent false rejections in production. * Provide technical support to the team for issues exceeding basic repair capability. * Configure and commission nodes on industrial networks (EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP) after component replacement. * Document root causes of line stoppages with technical detail. * Validate proper operation of safety systems. **Requirements:** **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electromechanics, or Industrial Engineering **Experience:** Minimum **2–3 years** in automatic line operations **(Electronics Manufacturing)** **Technical Proficiency:** * Advanced proficiency in Omron Sysmac Studio, ABB robot programming (RAPID), and KUKA robot programming (KRL). * Configuration and diagnosis on Keyence, Cognex, or Luster platforms. * Configuration of EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, and RS232/485 topologies. * Configuration of axes, velocity profiles, and servo drive tuning. * Modification of operator interface screens (HMI) and alarm management. * Configuration of Keyence safety modules and safety logic in PLCs. * Basic SQL queries to verify system communications. * Integration of electronic screwdriving controllers into cell logic. * Configuration of laser displacement sensors and area scanners. * Knowledge of robot maintenance including grease replacement, battery replacement, and cable inspection. * Identification of physical failures in I/O cards and communication modules. * Understanding of Yield metrics and cycle times for code optimization. **Language:** **Intermediate–Advanced English** (Capable of participating in technical meetings, reading datasheets, and writing detailed reports). **What We Offer:** * Competitive salary commensurate with your technical experience. * Benefits exceeding statutory requirements. * Growth opportunities within the world’s #1 electronics manufacturing company. **Location:** * Foxconn Vesta Park Plant (Carretera al Salto). * Foxconn Altos Vesta Park Plant (Carretera al Salto). * Foxconn Montenegro Plant (Carretera al Salto). * Foxconn IBM Plant (Carretera al Salto). * Foxconn Bosques I Plant (Periférico Sur). * (Project availability) **(Work Schedule:** Fixed Shift Availability ) **Are you the electronics expert we’re looking for?
