Creativity, attention to detail, and teamwork **Job Profile – Bartender** **Job Title:** Bartender **Department:** Bar **Reports To:** Bar Manager / Operations Director **Supervises:** N/A **Job Objective:** To deliver an exceptional bar experience through precise, creative, and efficient beverage preparation, maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and service, while integrating modern mixology techniques. **Key Responsibilities:** * Prepare beverages following established recipes and modern techniques (mixology, clarification, foams, infusions, sous\-vide, fat washing, etc.). * Recommend drinks to customers based on their preferences, explaining ingredients or processes when appropriate. * Daily station setup and mise en place with emphasis on efficiency and aesthetics. * Monitor inventory, optimize bottle yield, and minimize waste. * Maintain consistent cleanliness and order at the bar throughout each shift. * Track service tickets and coordinate smoothly with servers. * Enter recipes into bar control systems or formats. * Participate in internal and external training on new techniques and products. * Support the creation of new cocktails for seasonal menus or special events. * Properly close the station (inventory, cleaning, cash drawer closure if applicable). * Comply with restaurant sanitation standards, image guidelines, and service protocols. **Required Knowledge and Skills:** * Classic and contemporary mixology (minimum 2 years’ experience). * Knowledge of spirits, wines, liqueurs, and non-alcoholic beverages. * Modern techniques: use of siphons, macerations, clarification, smoking, etc. * Proficiency with tools such as jiggers, strainers, mixing glasses, Boston shakers. * Intermediate English desirable (for serving international guests). * Creativity, attention to detail, speed, and excellent memory. * Ability to work under pressure and collaboratively in a team. * Service-oriented attitude and impeccable presentation. **Performance Indicators (KPIs):** * Average preparation time per drink. * Monthly waste rate. * Customer satisfaction level (surveys or feedback). * Attendance and punctuality. * Participation in training sessions. * Acceptance of new cocktails on menu or sales of specials.
