The Manager of Product Engineering is a high\-impact leadership role designed for a former Senior Engineer or Tech Lead who has successfully transitioned into people management. You will oversee 1–3 high\-performing Scrum teams, balancing deep technical mentorship with rigorous, data\-driven delivery management. Your mission is to ensure engineering excellence, drive Agile maturity, and maintain a predictable delivery cadence while fostering a culture of continuous growth for your engineers. **Qualifications we are looking for:** #### **Technical \& Leadership Experience** * + **7\+ years of professional experience** in software development, with a deep understanding of the full development lifecycle. + **3\+ years of experience in leadership roles** (Lead, Manager, or Supervisor), managing high\-performing engineering teams. + **Tech Stack Mastery:** Strong technical command of **Microsoft technologies (.NET)** and **Azure cloud services**. + **Complex Systems:** Proven experience working in platform\-heavy, infrastructure, or API\-centric environments. #### **Process \& Tooling Proficiency** * + - **Agile Expert:** Advanced proficiency in Scrum and Agile methodologies; ability to coach teams on increasing their Agile maturity. - **Data\-Driven:** Demonstrated experience using **Azure DevOps** (or similar tools) to manage backlogs and extract performance metrics. - **Analytical Mindset:** Strong ability to analyze delivery health and team performance through data, providing actionable insights to Directors and VPs. **Job duties:** #### **People Leadership \& Talent Development** * + **Team Growth:** Hire, onboard, and retain top\-tier engineering talent; define clear career progression paths and growth plans. + **Performance Management:** Conduct consistent 1\-on\-1s and performance evaluations, using measurable objectives to drive accountability. + **Mentorship:** Provide technical and professional coaching to senior individual contributors, helping them navigate complex technical hurdles and leadership transitions. #### **Technical Leadership \& Delivery Excellence** * + **Engineering Standards:** Champion best practices across the SDLC, including TDD/unit testing, code reviews, CI/CD discipline, and clean coding standards. + **Technical Oversight:** Lead technical design discussions and review solutions for scalability and feasibility without micromanaging the architecture. + **Operational Visibility:** Implement and track North Star metrics (Velocity, Throughput, Cycle Time, and Defect Rates) to provide transparent reporting to senior leadership. + **Agile Governance:** Drive Scrum excellence, ensuring effective sprint planning, backlog refinement, and high delivery predictability. + **Execution:** Actively identify and mitigate technical risks and systemic bottlenecks; step in to contribute to code development when necessary to unblock the team. #### **Stakeholder \& Strategic Alignment** * + **Cross\-Functional Partnership:** Align closely with Product and Platform leadership to synchronize roadmap priorities with engineering capacity. + **Communication:** Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights for non\-technical stakeholders. **What you can expect from us** Here at Nexaminds, we're not your typical workplace.
