Job Summary: We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation, cleaning, organization, and maintenance of the kitchen, following recipes and procedures. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist in preparing dishes according to recipes and food preparation. 2. Perform deep cleaning of equipment and areas, and manage waste. 3. Collaborate in organizing purchases and controlling kitchen inventory. We require a Kitchen Assistant who can support and work a full shift preparing dishes according to recipes. \- Assist in food preparation, including portioning, prepping, cutting, basic mixing, and preparing menu items under the chef’s instructions. \- Perform deep cleaning of equipment and areas according to the cleaning schedule: refrigerators, freezers, fryers, worktables, and shelves. \- Properly wash and dry utensils and equipment (plates, glasses, cutlery, pots, containers, trays), avoiding impacts and sink overflow. \- Verify preparation dates and condition of food items, ensuring proper rotation, correct labeling, and hygienic storage. \- Organize and arrange kitchen purchases, maintaining order and product control to facilitate daily operations. \- Participate in the weekly stock list, assisting with counting and recording kitchen area inventory. \- Manage area waste, taking out trash daily and keeping containers clean. \- Support basic equipment maintenance, reporting any malfunctions to the kitchen supervisor or shift manager. \- Properly close the area at the end of the shift, ensuring the stove is turned off, final cleaning is completed, refrigerators are properly closed, and microwaves and electric ovens are unplugged.
