We are looking for a COBOL Developer who will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications in Mainframe environments. The candidate must work with batch and transactional programs, ensuring proper interaction with DB2 databases through the use of advanced SQL. They will collaborate within an agile team following the SCRUM methodology, participating in the entire software development lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and maintain **COBOL** programs for both **Batch (JCL)** processes and **Transactional (CICS)** applications. * Develop and optimize complex **SQL** queries on **DB2**. * Participate in application integration and deployment in **IBM Unix (AIX) and/or Linux** environments. * Actively collaborate in ceremonies and activities inherent to the **SCRUM methodology** (daily meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.). * Analyze incidents, propose solutions, and ensure the quality of delivered software. * Document developments and keep technical information up to date. * Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes. **Requirements:** * Proven experience in programming with **COBOL**. * Solid knowledge of **JCL** for batch development. * Experience in developing transactional applications with **CICS**. * Advanced proficiency in **DB2** and optimization of **SQL** statements. * Experience in **IBM Unix (AIX) and/or Linux** environments. * Familiarity with the **agile SCRUM methodology**. * Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and teamwork capability. **Desirable:** * Experience integrating with other languages or tools within Mainframe ecosystems. * Knowledge of version control (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools. * Communication skills and results-oriented mindset.
