Description

The Raw Materials Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and controlling all food ingredients and supplies required for cafeteria operations. Their primary mission is to ensure a continuous flow of goods to the kitchen area, guaranteeing that materials meet the quality, safety, and hygiene standards required for human consumption. Key Responsibilities * **Receiving and Verification:** Receive goods from suppliers and physically verify them against invoices or delivery notes. Verify quantities, packaging conditions, expiration dates, and—for perishable items—the appropriate temperature. * **Quality and Safety Control:** Visually inspect supplies for damage, signs of spoilage, or contamination. * **Inventory Management:** Record receipts and issuances in the digital system. Conduct periodic counts (perpetual or quarterly inventories) to ensure physical stock matches system records. * **Product Rotation (FIFO):** Strictly apply the **First-In, First-Out (FIFO)** system to ensure older food items are used before expiration. * **Internal Supply:** Prepare and deliver raw material requisitions requested by the production area (kitchen) timely and accurately. * **Area Maintenance:** Maintain the warehouse clean, dry, organized, and pest-free to prevent cross-contamination.
